The American National Anthem

The Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In fully glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution!
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh, thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust":
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

The US economy is yearly rising in all ways, which shows that its economy is stable in a yearly increasing way. Over all the USís military is the strongest military is the strongest military in the world in training and advising and defenses and attacks. The US is involved in many important defense treaties, because of its democracy the treaties that it signs become an important treaty.

Views on World Problems:-

The US is a major factor that helps a country feel more safer, because its defense is strong and its loyal to its allies. When president Bush took the government to his hand many things happened many that changed the US policy a bit. First, the September 11 issue when Bin Laden kidnapped planes and ran through the Twin towers in New York a war was declared by President Bush junior.

The second day a war was declared against terrorism and it began with Afghanistan then Iraq. Not many countries opposed the war in Afghanistan; however many countries opposed the war on Iraq which caused a lot of changes in the US foreign Policy. Second, the Issue of Iraq and liberating Iraq from the hands of the evil dictator Saddam Hussein.

Third, a last issue to take account of is the road map issue, this issue is one of the most distinguished issues that the US is talking about. The Road map will be a settlement for the Palestinians and the Israeliís, However the response to this was negative from Arab countries except some countries. In the other Hand the UN and the European Union are welcoming this idea produced By the US and the UK.

Fourth, the Issue of Nuclear proliferation in North Korea is the most dangerous issue. First, north Korea declared that it has Nuclear weapons which are a great threat to USA and got bomb us anytime. Second, North Korea does not allow UN inspectors in to inspects its Nuclear arsenals that must be destroyed. Finally, the US does not allow a country to violate treaties, and a treaty was signed that just allows some countries to own Nuclear Arsenals and north Korea is not one of them, but The USA is one of these countries.

Some of the US allies are the UK, Spain, Latvia, Philippines, Japan, and Kuwait and many other small and large countries. The US is in many organization and the most important is the UN and NATO.

History:-

The discovery of America was the beginning of the United States were many tribes gathered together in this beautiful land. It was discovered by Spanish explorer Christopher Columbus, America since then was a very important part of the world were its lands were rich of joy and sadness of war. Many things faced the USA and are still facing it some of the main things were color prejudice, and world war I and world war II. However, the Us defeated these barriers till it became the strongest country in the world.

At the year 1914 a war began this war was between Germany, Austria, and Hungary against France, Russia, and Britain. The US were not a part of this war, because of some political reasons. However, an attack then was made, because Germany asked for that by attacking US marines. As soon as the US began its crucial attacks on Germany, the War ended in the year 1917.

At the year 1941 after World War I there was a new war, world war II which was thought to be the end of wars. The United States of America was harmless they did not want attack any body, but the Japanese were not as cool as they looked like. They attacked pearl harbor, and also a war was declared by Germany against the US. In addition, this war was also ended by the US by dropping 2 nuclear bombs in Japan.

Wars did not stop America was again involved in two wars the Gulf war and The cold war. The cold war in early 1990s was the stop of communism and the Soviet Union, the US did that to reduce communism in the world. The Gulf war was when Iraq invaded its neighbors Kuwait, many resolutions passed on this issue but one was done with major actions which was the US were allowed to enter Kuwait and liberate it. So it was also liberated, many wars passed that the US ended and begun. The US has a very important history and its history shows how solid its actions are.

Policy Statements

(1) The Question of guaranteeing peace and security in Haiti:

So in reflect the US policy would be first of all to stop all the violence going on in Haiti by sending international troops to disarm all the parties fighting against the government and to bring all the parties in the negotiation table to decide on the basis of their conflict which is the ruling party and decide the way of election which must me a democracy them if this will work we will implement the international forces their to make sure that democracy is the established way of rule. We will also strengthen the Police and government agency and make sure that the law is not broken so that no new war between the parties evolve.

Evidence 1:

JOHN NEGROPONTE (United States) said he was deeply concerned about the political crisis in Haiti.  He condemned the use of violence and called on all actors to engage in dialogue to secure a peaceful solution.  Only then could the Haitian people build a prosperous future for themselves.  If a sustainable political solution was reached, the United States would support efforts to deploy an international force to support implementation.  His country was working closely with CARICOM, the OAS and friends of Haiti to respond to the crisis and would continue to do so.  Also, he strongly supported the full implementation of OAS resolutions 806, 822 and, most recently, 861.  Those resolutions remained valid and outlined the steps to be taken if democracy was to take root.

He continued to support the OAS special mission in Haiti, which could serve as the basis for an expanded mission to promote the rule of law, train police and encourage a climate of security.  He urged all parties to maintain dialogue to reach a political solution.  It was imperative that such a solution be reached quickly before the humanitarian crisis worsened.  The parties must act in the best interest of the Haitian people.  He would continue to consult with his CARICOM partners and others regarding the international communityís response to Haitiís crisis.

Evidence 2: April 5, 2002 OAS SPECIAL MISSION TO HAITI PRESENTS "GREAT OPPORTUNITY"

The Organization of American States' (OAS) new Special Mission to Strengthen Democracy in Haiti presents a "great opportunity" to contribute to a resolution of the political crisis and to "do more than we are doing for Haitian democracy," OAS Secretary General Caesar Gaviria said today.

Gaviria said the Special Mission, which will address issues related to security, justice, human rights and governance, has received broad support from the international community, including OAS member states, observer countries and multilateral institutions such as the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. The level of support reflects the widespread concern about the problems facing democracy in Haiti, Gaviria told the OAS Permanent Council.

Evidence 3: Security Council statements concerning this issue: 26/02/2004

(2) The question of the UN involvement in the situation in Iraq:

The question of Iraq is quite delicate to the US. Well the United States is now suffering from the lack of equipped personal in Iraq. They tried to solve this problem by returning those with bad records in the army back to the army, basically they brought mercenaries back to the army, well speaking about these mercenaries they are causing the US some problem and one of them was displayed to the world via all station which was the torture of the prisoners. Anyhow the US also tried to solve this problem by asking many countries to send their troops to Iraq and they succeeded in convincing some countries like Japan. Some countries sent their troops to Iraq yet had to pull them which caused the US more problems like Spain. Well the US requires more troops in order to secure Iraq which will make them use Iraqi resources more efficiently and much better. As a sum up the United States would like for the United Nations to send peacekeepers to Iraq in order to aid the US and the UK on maintaining piece yet it would also require that the UN forces be under the US control cause the United States army is more equipped and is aware of Iraqi customs and is well adopted to the are which will make the peacekeeping mission much easier.

Evidence 1: SoS Powell's statement

But, as Secretary of State Colin F. Powell made clear after meeting here today with the United Nations secretary general, Kofi Annan, the coalition would continue to command all military forces in Iraq. He gave no indication that the coalition would cede any of its political and economic authority, though he added that the United Nations' future role ``can be discussed in the course of our negotiations on a resolution.".

(3) The question of establishing an effective, binding and internationally observed protocol on preemptive warfare,

Well the question of preemptive warfare is the most delicate and important issue to the United States. Well the United States must display to the world that their against wars yet with self defense which all the world would support the US for. So the United States policy would be that we are against any war or attack that is preemptive yet we are with attacks that would save the country and increase the national security of the country. Like for an example if a two countries hate each other and one country has evidence that the other country would hurt it in any way its al right for the country threatened to attack the other country in order to maintain its peace.

Opening Speech

Honorable Delegates, most esteem chair, ladies and Gentleman, Good afternoon .

The US. is very honored to be here to today at this assembly of the Security Council. The US. would like to welcome all the delegates which are at the negotiation table to solve the issues at hand, and applauds them for their grave concern on solving the worldís most important issues presented on the table, today. In fact, that gives the US and a good impression of the countries present here and their willingness to form a constructive session rather than a destructive session.

The US wishes that all the issues at hand will be solved efficiently to end the problems these issues are causing in the world. The United States is a country that wishes for piece to rule and will always seek to gain piece in all the parts of the world, although many countries accuse the United States of not seeking for piece because we waged a war on Iraq we would like to rebuff all of what they are saying by saying that when we went to Iraq our purpose was to re-establish piece for Iraqis who suffered from continuous torture from the past Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. The United States was formed on the basis of freedom and is a free country with a free market so we will always seek and want piece for the world.

Concerning the issue of preemptive warfare, well the United States would like to point to the world that a threat to all countries still exist from terrorist and from other countries. Some countries are hiding terrorists; some countries are acting like terrorists which forces sometime the United States to go into war because it feels that its national security is threatened. The United States is with preemptive warfare because itís the best and most efficient way a country can guarantee its own sovereignty not violated and its security not intruded.

The worlds observed protocol concerning Pre-emptive warfare must not be phrased in way that it will cause countries to fear attacks from other countries or terrorists because they cant defend themselves by attacking first. The United States policy concerning threats is, eat them at lunch before they eat u at dinner which means that we must attack them before they attack us.

Honorable delegates of the SC, donít make your clauses a reason for many attacks on many countries in the world.

Thank You
